Wayne Douglas McCoy


Wayne D. McCoy, 67, of Canal Fulton passed away at home with his family, Thursday, August 20, 2009.  Wayne was born in Wayne, W. Va. and had been a resident of the Canal Fulton area for the past 31 years. He was a 1963 graduate of Akron Barber College and has owned and operated, with his wife, Ellen, the Panther's Den since 1978. He was a member of Greensburg United Methodist Church and the N.C.T.A.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Sarah McCoy; brother, LeeRoy McCoy; sisters, Verna Maxine Drosnos and Juanita Adkins. Wayne is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ellen McCoy; children, Aaron (Ronda) McCoy and Bryan Scott McCoy; grandchildren, Amanda, Melynda and Madison; his special friend and dog, Maggie; brother, Joe (Ellen) McCoy; sister-in-law, Pauline McCoy; many nieces and nephews.  The family would like to give a special thanks to Jerry Salibury, Jim Shear, Terry Loughrey, Chuck Lane, Doris and Bob, Ann and George, Rod, Dr. Krutky and staff and Kathy and Shirley of Summa Hospice.  Funeral Service TUESDAY, 11 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 East Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) with Rev. Mitch Hennessey officiating and where friends may call MONDAY 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to The Greensburg United Methodist Church, 2161 Greensburg Road, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
