Robert H. "Bob" Blowers, Sr., 85, of Canal Fulton died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Affinity Medical Center, Massillon. Bob was born in Beaver Falls, Pa., was a graduate of Barberton High School and was a life resident of the Clinton-Canal Fulton area. He retired from First National Bank of Akron, with 43 years service and was a former member of the Portage Lakes Kiwanis, where he was active with the Christmas Santa deliveries and the fall rose sales. He also was a former member of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Dept. and was the former secretary for the Luna Lake Club. He enjoyed bowling in the St. Nicholas League. Preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Blanche Blowers; he is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie M. (Frost) Blowers; sons, Robert "Skip" (Cindy) Blowers, Jr., Mark (Peggy) Blowers and David (Barb) Blowers; four grandchildren, Keith (Emily) , Courtney, Drew and Kaylee Blowers; sister, Vaughna (John) Moine and several nieces. Funeral service TUESDAY 1:30 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) and where friends may call MONDAY 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to time of service. A committal service and burial will take place Wednesday 10 a.m. at Rose Hill Burial Park, Akron.
