Gilbert L. Stadler

Gilbert L. Stadler Sr., 80, passed away November 26, 2009.  He was born in Cleveland and worked as a farmer from the ages of 12 to 26. He later retired from Goodyear with 39½years of service.  Gilbert was a member of the Goodyear Motorcoach Club, the United Rubber/Steel Workers Local 2, the Green AARP and the Lagrange Engine Club. He was also a former member of Highview Avenue Baptist Church and was a regular attendee at The Chapel.  Preceded in death by his mother, Margaret; he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Caroline (Fekete); son, Gilbert Jr. (Cheryl); daughter, Deborah; grandchildren, Joyce, Gilbert III and Elijah; and many other loving relatives and friends.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Myron Lindsey officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Monday, November 30, from 4 to 7 p.m.
