Dennis L. Arnett, 64, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 15, 2010. He was a life long resident of Akron, and retired from Union Process Co. in April 2009, due to complications from ALS. Mr. Arnett was a long time member of the Akron Baptist Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother in laws; brother, Gilbert; and nephew, Wayne "Butch" Lavender Jr. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna (Umberger); daughters, Wendy Arnett of Akron and Jodi Strong of Canal Fulton; two granddaughters, Tylor and Torie Strong; three brothers; three sisters; a host of other loving relatives and friends. The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 1 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Sanctuary Chapel, 760 E. Market St. with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Mr. Arnett's family wishes contributions to be made in his name to ALS Association, 2500 E. 22nd St., suite 102, Cleveland, 44115 or Akron Baptist Temple, 2324 Manchester Rd., Akron, Ohio 44314.
